Highly valuable material for scientific purposes

The HIV Biorepository’s mission is to provide scientists with unique reactives of high scientific value, and associated donor clinical data as well as other other functional, genetic data.

The reactives available in the HIV Biorepository are transferred by research groups who are part of the Red RIS network, upon signature of the corresponding MTA (Material Transfer Agreement). These reactives have been obtained and stored under optimal conditions in application of well-documented, approved procedures.

Once the biological material has reached the HIV Biorepository, all associated data is filed. Then this material is stored and maintained under conditions which guarantee its availability, viability and outstanding quality.

Once scientists have taken the samples they need, they must send the HIV Biorepository a yearly Report of Activities to facilitate follow-up on the project.
